Alexandra Raisman

Aly Raisman is an American gymnast who was as a captain and a participant for the Fierce Five team in 2012 and 2016 Final Five US Women's Olympic gymnastics teams. In 2012, she was awarded gold in the team competitions as well as the floor exercise. For the balance beam she earned a bronze. This made her an the only American gymnast to compete at the Olympics with the highest number of medals. At the 2016 Olympics she won a gold medal in the team event which gave her along with teammate Gabby Douglas the credit of being one of the very first Americans to have two consecutive team golds. The silver medals she won came from the individual floor and all-around events. Between the two Olympics she had taken an absence from competitive gymnastics for 3 years. In addition she was a part of two gold-winning American gymnastics teams. She learned gymnastics from the age of 2 and her favourite activity is Floor Exercise. Aly is a member of her local Uniting Against Lung Cancer group in honor of her late grandma. She hopes to become a fashion designer and expand her line of leotards and socks in the near future. Fierce the new novel she's currently working on is due out at the end of this year.
